ImpactSIIS is an interactive system for recording and tracking immunizations which is managed by the Ohio Department of Health (ODH). It was developed to help achieve complete and timely immunization for all Ohioans, but especially for the age group most at risk - birth through two years. It does this by:

  • Maintaining consolidated, comprehensive immunization records
  • Making immunization records accessible to those with an appropriate health care or public health need while preserving the security of individual information
  • Evaluating patients’ immunization status to identify when they are due for vaccines and notifying the patient and/or the provider
  • Managing vaccine inventory for immunization providers
  • Serving as a source for quality, timely immunization-related data to meet public health needs
As a central data processing point, ImpactSIIS provides an accurate, efficient way to ensure that children and Ohioans of all ages receive the right vaccinations at the right times without unnecessary repetition.  It is our goal to reduce illness and death due to vaccine-preventable diseases by providing accurate and up-to-date information on immunization status so that healthcare providers, parents, schools and other stakeholders can achieve the highest levels of coordination and knowledge for a healthier, safer Ohio.

New Features

The ImpactSIIS Program at the Ohio Department of Health is proud to announce new partnerships with the Healthy Ohio TB Prevention and Control and Hearing & Vision Screening programs. As a result of these partnerships, new health modules have been developed and implemented and are now available in ImpactSIIS.

In addition to immunization and lead testing results, ImpactSIIS now provides modules for Body Mass Index, Tuberculosis and Vision & Hearing screening results for your patients.

The new features are accessible from the patient dashboard after searching and selecting your patient. Check the left side menu. Entering data into the user-friendly modules will ensure that child medical information can be shared among statewide physicians, local health departments, school nurses, Head Start and the Ohio WIC program.
